Producer: Wine production has been in the Ceci family since the 1940s when Umberto Ceci bought vineyards in San Paolo di Jesi in order to produce Verdicchio. in the 1950s, Amato, Umberto’s son, and his wife increased production by aquiring new land and bottling their own wines. In 1992s Amato’s son Maurizio and his wife Serenella invested in a modern winery, which they called Vignamato, with the objective of producing high-quality wines, both white and red. Today the family’s commitment to their business continues, with Umberto’s great-grandchildren, Alessandra and Andrea, also involved in wine production.

Vineyard: There are only three hectares planted for this wine in a vineyard with a south-east exposure at 250 metres above sea level. The grapes were harvested by hand in late September early October.

Winery: After strict grape selection and crushing, the must was fermented for about twenty days. The wine then spent four months in stainless steel tanks and one month in bottle before release.

Tasting Note: Bright purple. Juicy aromas and flavors of roasted plum, cherry, and chocolate. Nicely- balanced acidity. Intense aromas of forest fruits, roses and violets, leading to an elegant, light, refreshing palate. Fun
