Producer: Salvatore Martusciello has set the mark for winemaking in the Campania region, exalting the value of grapes and wines that had been forgotten, restoring their dignity and history. Today he is a leading expert in wine from the Campi Flegrei and the area around Vesuvius and has embarked on a new life adventure together with his wife Gilda. He has given his name to this project that involves producing wines that are “heavenly ambrosia”, as the poet Chiabrera described Flegrei wines they first time he tasted them. The estate is situated in the town of Quarto and with great care he produces some 87,000 bottles of wine a year with the aim of remaining firm and faithful to the territory and expressing a precise identity. Salvatore personally follows every step in the winemaking process.
Taste: A lively red wine from the Sorrento Peninsula, with hints of red fruit berries, strawberry, rose and raspberry. Lightly sparkling on the palate and to be served cold. The wine of the city of Naples and is considered the best match with the true Napolitan pizza.
