Canestrelli are the famous biscuits with the daisy shape  and with a hole in the center sprinkled with powdered sugar.

They are typical of Liguria and Piedmont region.

The main characteristic of the canestrelli cookies is the crumbly and light texture! They literally melt in the mouth thanks to the shortcrust pastry made of egg yolks and potato starch that makes them impalpable at the bite.

Ingredients: Wheat flour type 00, Butter, Sugar, Egg white, Egg yolk, Lemon essential oil, Vanilla flavouring, raising agents, sodium bicarbonate E500 (ii), potassium bitartrate E336.

May contain traces of Nuts, Peanuts, sulfites, sesame and soya.
