Besciamella was born from the encounter between fresh milk, butter and flour to become the protagonist of many exquisite traditional Italian recipes. Perfect in combination with first courses, to give an extra touch to meat main courses or to enrich flans, soufflés and crepes.

The Besciamella sauce is creamy and versatile.

Consorzio Virgilio was founded more than a hundred years ago, when the local dairies decided to join forces and produce excellences.

The aim of Consorzio Latterie Virgilio is to work with their associated cheesemakers to enhance the heritage of flavours and know-how of the land and history of Lombardy.

Ingredients: Milk, cream, type 00 soft wheat flour, corn starch, salt. Allergens: milk and dairy products (including lactose) and cereals containing gluten.
