Figs and walnut plumcake

INGREDIENTS:
- 250g Figs
- 220g Flour
- 80g Sugar
- 8g Baking powder
- 60g Walnut kernels
- 100g Butter
- 3 Eggs
- Icing sugar
METHOD
First of all melt the butter in a small pan.
Wash the figs and remove the ends, then cut them roughly into pieces without removing the peel.
Pour the eggs into a large bowl and whip them with the electric whisk gradually adding sugar until you get a foam and homogeneus mixture.
Sift the flour and baking powder inside the bowl, then mix with a spatula and add the melted butter too. Add figs and walnut and stir again.
Grease and flour a plumcake mold (20×11 cm) and pour inside the mixture obtained. Level the surface with the back of a spoon slightly moistened with water.
Bake in a static oven preheated to 180° for about 60 minutes. Once cooked, let it cool before removing it from the mold and serve it sliced with a sprinkling of icing sugar.
